Welcome to MMA Islamic School of Jackson Metropolitan area. We were founded in 1985 by group of volunteers in our community who realized the importance of providing our children with Islamic Education. Since then, we have grown from very few to almost 200 students. In 2012, by the grace of Allah and the generosity of our community, we built the Magnolia Islamic Center (MIC) to accommodate the need of our growing community. This school is run by dedicated volunteer teachers and administration staff who have devoted their time for the sake of Allah SWT. Our main purpose is to provide our children with the necessary Islamic educations taught in the Qur’an and the Sunah of Prophet Mohammed (peace be uopn him) so that they can grow up to be successful Muslims and continue to pursue islamic knowledge as a lifetime goal inshallah. This is beause the pursuit of Knowledge is the real Path to Heaven. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah (RAA) said: “The Messenger of Allah said: “…Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. Yet, in another Hadeeth, the prophet (PBUH) reported to have said: No people gather in one of houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and teaching it to one another, but the angels will surround them, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will envelop them and Allah will mention them to those who are with Him.
